Kate Brownlee

Kate received her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2013. She was motivated to attend law school after watching her parents start and grow their own business and recognizing the importance of legal advice to mitigate risks while running a business. Growing up with a family business, Kate understands the importance of protecting a company’s interests but doing so in a cost-effective manner. As a lawyer, Kate finds immense value in providing critical advice to businesses and employees at a smart price.

For more than a decade, Kate has represented employers before federal and administrative courts and counsels employers on effective workplace policies, procedures, and strategies to comply with federal and state labor and employment laws. A major focus of Kate’s practice has been representing clients in discrimination, harassment, and retaliation allegations and ensuring adherence to federal labor and employment laws. Before opening Brownlee Law LLC, she specialized in labor and employment law representing companies across a variety of industries in the private sector at a large New Orleans based firm and then in the public sector advising management at an agency within the Department of Homeland Security and an Office of Inspector General.
